I'm putting my glue on the canvas, as usual. Today I want to try a different paper.

Ich gebe, wie immer mein Kleber auf die Leinwand. Heute will ich ein anderes Papier ausprobieren.

So I spread the glue and then I want to stick a baking paper with it.

This is narrower than the last papers and it's coated somehow.

I give it off the roll and then glue it down. Then I let it dry.

The colour doesn't match but I can mix it with the red now, on the surface.

Then it becomes a strong orange and that fits well again.

Now I spread it over the surface.

That gives a great effect. Wow, that looks great. That's cool.

Das ergibt einen tollen Effekt. Wow, das sieht super aus. Das ist cool.

Like a tree landscape. Now I have lots of pictures in my head!

But I have an idea. I'll stick to that and try to realise it now.

Aber ich habe eine Idee. Da bleibe ich jetzt bei und versuche das jetzt umzusetzen.

I have to apply the paint really thick now because I can hardly draw straight edges.

Ich muss die Farbe jetzt richtig dick auftragen weil ich wirklich kaum noch gerade Kanten ziehen kann.

Because the paper is curling more and more and and that has something beautiful. I find that quite beautiful.

Denn das Papier wellt sich immer mehr und das hat so was Schönes. Das finde ich ganz schön.

Quite exciting. It's fun. It reminds me of something. I can't think of it right now.

Ganz spannend. Das macht spaß. Es erinnert mich an etwas. Mir fällt es gerade nicht ein.

Now it's getting more and more contoured. I could go on painting for hours.

Jetzt bekommt es immer mehr Kontur. Ich könnte jetzt stundenlang weiter malen.

Because it's just so beautiful. All the colours.

Weil es einfach so schön ist. Die ganzen Farben.

This luminosity and everywhere the paper is still showing through. It's still flat there.

Diese Leuchtkraft und überall guckt das Papier noch durch. Dort ist es noch plan.

It's a pity when you're finished at some point. Next time a bigger canvas.

Schade, wenn man dann doch irgendwann fertig ist. Nächstes Mal eine größere Leinwand. der

So you have something where you can just go with it, play with it. to play with when you're painting.

Dadurch hast du etwas, wo du dich einfach drauf einlassen kannst, mit spielen kannst, beim Malen.
