Where does the channel subscriber count chart come from, and how reliable is it?

The subscriber chart on a channel page is based on historical subscriber counts stored by Filmot. It is an approximate history, not a complete or continuously updated record.

The number and spacing of observations vary by channel, so some charts are detailed while others are sparse. A chart appears only when sufficient data is available. Treat the figures as recorded observations rather than official real-time YouTube statistics.
