Hello Everybody. Welcome to the tutorial Introduction to Geogebra. In this tutorial I will introduce you to the basics of getting started with Geogebra.

Geogebra च्या ट्युटोरियलमध्ये आपले स्वागत आहे. येथे आपण Geogebra या सॉफ्टवेअरची प्राथमिक माहिती करून घेणार आहोत.

What is Geogebra ? It is a free mathematics software and is available at www.geogebra.org to download.

Geogebra हे गणिताचे विनामूल्य सॉफ्टवेअर www.geogebra.org वरून डाऊनलोड करता येते.

It is useful for computer aided learning as it is interactive, and you can see the algebraic expressions of geometric figures and vice versa.

याद्वारे बीजगणितातील समीकरणे आणि भौमितिक आकृत्या यांचा परस्पर संबंध बघता येऊ शकतो.

It combines Geometry , Algebra and Calculus. So you can construct geometric figures, enter equations, deal with variables, vectors etc..

यात भूमिती, बीजगणित व Calculus यांची सांगड घातली आहे. याद्वारे आकृत्या, समीकरणे चलसंख्या, सदिश राशींवर काम करता येते.

To get started with Geogebra, I am using the Linux operating system Ubuntu Version 10.04 LTS and Geogebra Version 3.2.40.0

Geogebra सुरू करण्यासाठी आपण Linux operating system Ubuntu Version 10.04 LTS आणि Geogebra Version 3.2.40.0 चा वापर करणार आहोत.

If you have already installed Geogebra, go to the Ubuntu Menu Item Applications,education or science and click on the Geogebra Application.

जर आपण Geogebra इन्स्टॉल केले असेल तर Ubuntu मेनू आयटम वरील Applications मधील एज्युकेशन किंवा सायन्स वर क्लिक करून Geogebra Application वर जा.

If you have not installed Geogebra, please go to system , administration, synaptic package Manager to install Geogebra.

जर आपण Geogebra इन्स्टॉल केलेले नसेल तर ते करण्यासाठी सिस्टीम वर जाऊन administration, synaptic package Manager मध्ये जा.

Now let us explore the Geogebra window . In this tutorial I will briefly explain the menu bar, the tool bar and tool view, the graphics view and algebra view. The input bar and commands.

आता आपण Geogebra विंडोची माहिती करून घेऊ. येथे मी तुम्हाला menu bar, tool bar आणि tool view तसेच graphics view आणि algebra view, input bar आणि commands यांची थोडक्यात माहिती देणार आहे.

A typical Geogebra window looks like this.It has a standard menu bar like any window based application.

Geogebra विंडो अशा प्रकारची असते. इथेही इतर विंडोज application प्रमाणे स्टँडर्ड मेनूबार असतो.

The tool bar is like the compass box of Geogebra.

Geogebraचा टूलबार हा एखाद्या कंपास बॉक्सप्रमाणे आहे.

The tool view tells you which tool is selected and ready for use.

tool view मध्ये कोणते टूल निवडले आहे हे तुम्ही पाहू शकता.

The graphic view is the drawing pad of Geogebra. You can construct geometric figures on this pad.

graphics view हे Geogebraचे ड्रॉईंग पॅड आहे. ह्या पॅडवर तुम्ही भौमितिक आकृत्या काढू शकता.

This is the algebra view. In this window you can see the algebraic expressions of all the geometric figures constructed on the drawing pad.

हा algebra view आहे. ह्या विंडोमध्ये तुम्ही ड्रॉईंग पॅडवर काढलेल्या सर्व भौमितिक आकृत्यांची बीजगणितीय समीकरणे पाहू शकता.

The Input Bar allows you to input algebra equations which will be made visible on the drawing pad as well as the algebra view.

तुम्ही input bar मध्ये समीकरणे लिहू शकता. ही समीकरणे तुम्हाला ड्रॉईंग पॅड तसेच algebra view मध्ये दिसू शकतात.

The commands supported by Geogebra in the input bar are in this drop down menu.

The drawing pad is always visible in Geogebra and cannot be closed.

Geogebraमधील ड्रॉईंग पॅड आपल्याला नेहमी दिसत राहते. ते बंद करता येत नाही.

On the drawing pad you can use the grid by going to view and checking on the grid option.

ड्रॉईंग पॅड वर ग्रीड चा उपयोग करण्यासाठी view मध्ये जाऊन ग्रीड हा पर्याय निवडा.

Similarly you can un-check the axes if you don't want to see it. We will keep the axes and grid visible for this tutorial.

त्याचप्रमाणे आपल्याला axes viewनको असल्यास तो ऑप्शन अनचेक करू शकतो. ह्या ट्युटोरियलसाठी आपण axes आणि grid viewचा उपयोग करणार आहोत.

If you choose to close the algebra view or Input Bar you may do so by going to view and un checking the option. Let us remove the input bar from this tutorial.

त्याचप्रमाणे जर आपल्याला input bar किंवा algebra view बंद करायचा असल्यास view मेनूमध्ये जाऊन हे दोन्ही ऑप्शन अनचेक करता येतात. ह्या ट्युटोरियलमधे आपण input bar बंद करू या.

Now the tool bar a compass box in more detail. To use a tool click on an item.

आता आपण टूल बार म्हणजेच कंपास बॉक्स बद्दल अधिक माहिती जाणून घेऊ. एखादे टूल वापरण्यासाठी त्या आयटमवर क्लिक करा.

Notice when you click on it, a dark blue border appears around the item, indicating that it is selected and it's name and a hint on how to use it also appears in the tool view.

क्लिक केल्यावर त्याभोवती सिलेक्शन दाखवणारी dark blue border आलेली दिसेल. व शेजारी tool view मध्ये टूलचे नाव व वापरण्याची पध्दत सांगितली जाते.

The move drawing pad is the right most tool item. Click on it and then click on the drawing pad. Keep the left click depressed and move the drawing pad to the desired position.

मूव्ह ड्रॉईंग पॅड हा टूल आयटम सर्वात उजव्या बाजूला आहे. त्यावर क्लिक करा आणि मग ड्रॉईंग पॅडवर क्लिक करा. माऊसचे डावे बटण दाबून ठेवून ड्रॉईंग पॅड तुम्हाला हव्या त्या ठिकाणी नेऊन ठेवा.

If we start with the pencil in the compass box, in geometry we can draw a point with a pencil.

आपण कंपास बॉक्समधल्या पेन्सिलच्या सहाय्याने बिंदू काढू शकतो.

The pencil tools are here. If you click on the small red triangle in the corner of the tool you will see all the pencil or the point tools.

ही पेन्सिल टूल्स आहेत. टूलच्या कोप-यातील छोट्या लाल रंगाच्या त्रिकोणावर क्लिक केल्यावर तुम्हाला सर्व पेन्सिल किंवा पॉईंट टूल्स बघायला मिळतील.

Similarly the next set of tool items are for lines. Then these perpendicular lines and bisectors, polygons, circles etc.

त्याचप्रमाणे पुढचा टूल्सचा संच हा रेषेसंबंधीचा आहे. त्याच्यापुढे लंब आणि दुभाजक, बहुभुजाकृती आणि वर्तुळ इत्यादी टूल्स आहेत.

In this tutorial I am going to take you through drawing points, line segments, parallel and perpendicular lines measuring objects , changing object properties and saving a file.

या ट्युटोरियलमध्ये आपण बिंदू, रेषाखंड, समांतर आणि लंब रेषा काढणे, घटकांचे मापन, त्यातील बदल, प्रॉपर्टीज आणि फाईल सेव्ह करण्याबद्दल जाणून घेणार आहोत.

Now let us draw points. Select the new point option, click on anywhere on the drawing pad. You get new points.

आता एक बिंदू काढू या. न्यू पॉईंट या पर्यायावर क्लिक करून मग ड्रॉईंग पॅडवर कुठेही क्लिक करा. तुम्हाला नवीन बिंदू मिळतील.

Notice that the point appears on the drawing pad as well as in the algebra view.

ड्रॉईंग पॅड प्रमाणेच आपल्याला algebra view मध्येही हे पॉईंटस आलेले दिसतील.

All tool items drawn on the drawing pad are called objects in Geogebra.

Geogebra मध्ये ड्रॉईंग पॅडवर काढलेल्या सर्व टूल्स आयटम्सना ऑब्जेक्ट्स म्हणतात.

Points A and B are free objects, that is they are not dependent on any other object on the drawing pad.

A आणि B हे बिंदू फ्री ऑब्जेक्ट्स असून ते ड्रॉईंग पॅडवरील इतर कुठल्याही ऑब्जेक्टवर अवलंबून नाहीत.

You can draw a line segment by going to segment between two points using two existing points like A and B or click anywhere else on the drawing pad and you will get two new points and the segment between these two points.

segment between two points चा वापर करून आपण A आणि Bया उपलब्ध पॉईंट्सच्या सहाय्याने रेषाखंड काढू शकतो. किंवा ड्रॉईंग पॅडवर कुठेही क्लिक केल्यावर आपल्याला दोन नवीन बिंदू मिळतात. आणि बिंदूंच्या मधील रेषाखंड मिळू शकतो.

Similarly you can draw a perpendicular line by checking a point and then the line you will get a perpendicular line through point D Perpendicular to segment CD.

त्याचप्रमाणे आपण त्या बिंदूवर व नंतर रेषाखंडावर क्लिक करून लंब काढू शकतो म्हणजे आपल्याला मिळालेली रेषा ही D या बिंदूतून जाणारी आणि CD या रेषाखंडाशी लंबरेषा असेल.

A parallel line, I will click on a point anywhere here and select AB. I get a parallel line to AB through point E.

समांतर रेषा काढण्यासाठी येथे कुठेही एका बिंदूवर क्लिक करा आणि AB रेषाखंड सिलेक्ट करा. असा प्रकारे आपल्याला E बिंदूतून जाणारी AB ला समांतर असणारी रेषा मिळेल.

Now you can find the point of intersection of two objects if you go to this tool here and click on intersect two objects.

आता दोन ऑब्जेक्ट्सचा छेदनबिंदू शोधण्यासाठी intersect two objects वर क्लिक करा.

When you move your mouse over the intersection both the objects get highlighted at that time click you will get the intersection of the two objects

जेव्हा दोन ऑब्जेक्ट्सच्या छेदनबिंदूवर आपण आपला माऊस नेऊ तेव्हा ते दोन्हीही हायलाईट होतील आणि त्यावेळी तेथे क्लिक केल्यावर आपल्याला दोन ऑब्जेक्ट्सचा छेदनबिंदू मिळेल.

To measure the distance, click on the fourth from right tool bar and select Distance or length tool.

अंतर मोजण्यासाठी टूलबारवरील उजवीकडून चौथ्या टूलवर क्लिक करा आणि Distance or length tool निवडा.

You may measure the distance between points by selecting the two points clicking DF here or you may select an entire line segment.

दोन बिंदूतील अंतर मोजण्यासाठी येथे DF या पॉईंटसवर क्लिक करून ते सिलेक्ट करू शकता किंवा संपूर्ण रेषाखंड निवडू शकता.

Notice that there are no unit on the grid. We will explore unit names in more advanced topics.

आपल्या लक्षात येईल की ग्रीडवरती कोणतेही एकक दिसत नाही. advanced topics मध्ये आपण त्या एककांची नावे जाणून घेऊ.

You can change the properties such as the label and colour of each of the items Before that

आपण लेबल तसेच प्रत्येक घटकाचा रंग अशा प्रकारच्या प्रॉपर्टीज मध्ये बदल करू शकतो. त्यापूर्वी

If you don't want to draw any object, please use the arrow key here. So if when you use that it will not draw any object on the drawing pad.

जर तुम्हाला कोणतेही ऑब्जेक्ट रेखाटायचे नसेल तर arrow key वापरा. म्हणजेच जेव्हा तुम्ही त्याचा वापर करता तेव्हा ड्रॉईंग पॅडवर कोणतेही ऑब्जेक्ट उमटत नाही.

Now to change the object properties move your mouse over the object, when it get highlighted right click and click on object properties.

ऑब्जेक्टच्या प्रॉपर्टीज मध्ये बदल करण्यासाठी माऊस त्या ऑब्जेक्टवर न्या. तो हायलाईट झाल्यावर राईट क्लिक करून ऑब्जेक्ट प्रॉपर्टीजवर क्लिक करा.

Here I will take you through some of the basic properties, more details in another advanced topic.

आपण येथे काही बेसिक प्रॉपर्टीज जाणून घेऊ. अधिक माहिती advanced topic मध्ये बघू.

To change the name, type a new name. You can also type a caption. You can choose to show the object or not show it.

नाव बदलण्यासाठी नवे नाव टाईप करा. तुम्ही caption देखील टाईप करू शकता. तुम्ही शो ऑब्जेक्ट हा पर्याय निवडू शकता. किंवा काढून टाकू शकता.

You can choose to not show the label or you can show one of these options. Lets keep the caption on

तुम्ही शो लेबल हा पर्याय काढून टाकू शकता किंवा ह्यापैकी लेबलचे पर्याय निवडू शकता. आपण caption निवडू या.

In the colour tab you can change the colour of the line.

कलर टॅबमधील ओळीचा रंग तुम्ही बदलू शकता.

In the style tab you can change the thickness and you can change the style.

स्टाईल टॅबमध्ये तुम्ही लाईनची जाडी आणि स्टाईल बदलू शकता.

When you close this you have the new appearance of the line.

तुम्ही हे बंद केल्यावर तुम्हाला ओळीचे नवीन रूप बघायला मिळेल.

The left most tool item the move tool item is a very useful tool for teaching as it makes the lesson dynamic and interactive.

सर्वात डावीकडे असलेले move tool हे आयटम शिकवण्यासाठी अतिशय उपयुक्त असे टूल आहे त्यामुळे आपल्याला विद्यार्थ्यांशी सहज संवाद साधता येतो.

All free objects may be moved.

फ्री ऑब्जेक्टस सहजपणे हलवता येतात.

All the dependent objects of the free objects will move preserving their property, when the free object is moved.

फ्री ऑब्जेक्ट हलवल्यावर त्यावरील सर्व डिपेंडंट ऑब्जेक्टस स्वतःचे गुणधर्म तसेच राखून हलतात.

For example if we move points A or B , you will notice that the parallel line also moves along maintaining its parallel property.

उदाहरणार्थ जर आपण A किंवा B हे पॉईंटस हलवले, तुम्हाला लक्षात येईल की त्या समांतर रेषा सुध्दा त्यांचे गुणधर्म कायम राखून हलत आहेत.

To save a file, select the item file select Save As select the folder I will go to Documents Geogebra. Enter the file name and click save.

फाईल सेव्ह करण्यासाठी फाईल मेनूमधील Save As वर क्लिक करून फोल्डर निवडा. येथे मी डॉक्युमेंटस फोल्डरमधील Geogebra फोल्डरमध्ये जात आहे. आता येथे फाईलचे नाव एंटर करून सेव्ह करा.

Notice that the name appears in the top panel and it is saved as a .ggb file like all geogebra files.

पॅनेलच्या वरच्या भागात ते नाव आपल्याला दिसेल आणि इतर Geogebra फाईलप्रमाणे ते .ggb या एक्सटेन्शनने सेव्ह झाले आहे.

Now to open a file you have to click on file, open and select any file to open.

आता ही फाईल ओपन करण्यासाठी मेनूमधील ओपनवर क्लिक करून कुठलीही फाईल निवडा आणि ओपन या बटणावर क्लिक करा.

Finally the ASSIGNMENT.

आता एक असाईनमेंट करू या.

In the assignment I would like you to draw a rectangle by using the segment between two points tool, start with that.

ह्या असाईनमेंटमध्ये तुम्हाला एक आयत काढायचा आहे. त्यासाठी तुम्हाला segment between two points tool चा वापर करायचा आहे.

Then use the parallel line and perpendicular line. The Intersect two objects and the distance or length tools.

त्यानंतर समांतर रेषा आणि लंबरेषा काढणा-या टूल्स चा वापर करा. नंतर ते दोन्ही ऑब्जेक्ट एकमेकांना जोडा. distance or length tools चा वापर करा.

Finally test the rectangle you have constructed by using the move tool and move the free objects.

I have already constructed this assignment here. I have started with Line segment AB and I have constructed the rectangle ABED.

Now if I click on the move tool item and move the free objects notice that any position my rectangle ABED remains a rectangle if constructed properly.
