There's a lot of different ways

to use the multi-select tool.

I'm gonna take you through all of them.

To start, I'll tap on the tool to activate it

and then I'll select this first clip here

and you'll notice

that it selects the clip in between as well.

When you select multiple clips on the main track,

it's always gonna select everything in between.

That's because if it didn't,

However, you can select non-contiguous clips

I'll start this over by deselecting everything

So those of course are non-contiguous

Another way to select multiple clips is to tap and drag.

You'll notice as I drag my finger around

that the clip is selected as soon as the drag area

passes the end point of that clip,

and I can do this in either direction.

If I wanna select all the audio and video

there's a tool for that too.

I'll activate the multi-select tool again

and then under the canvas

I'll drag the end point and the outpoint to select a range.

If I let go of the end point here

it's gonna select everything from that point forward

and then I can go to the outpoint

and change what's selected there.

Notice here that all the video and all the audio

I can do that too by simply tapping on it to deselect it.

I can even add to that selection,

Notice now that the blue background indicator

I can even deselect the main clip

I'll go ahead and tap on this clip to deselect that

and now it's deselected, but the audio clips beneath it

Finally, with the selection made,

I'll simply exit the multi-select tool
