TRENING kontra ĆWICZENIA

Hi, my name's Father Mike Schmitz and this is Ascension Presents.

So, I've been working out a little bit lately but it was funny, I was reading some workout blogs

What's the goal: are you working out or are you training?

When it comes to your job, when it comes to like just getting through life,

you're showing up and you're putting the time in. You're working hard.

There's a lot of effort, but are you training? Is there a goal there?

And when it comes to your prayer life and this is what I want to focus on,

when it comes to your prayer life, my hope is that you're praying every single day.

When it comes to a lot of people praying, we show up,

Or is it just like, "Oh, I'm showing up and just kind of sitting there, thinking about the Father"?

Or am I intentionally pursuing the heart of the Father?

Am I showing up to prayer intentionally trying to become more and more like Jesus and that's the goal, right?

Czy w trakcie modlitwy, próbuję stać się podobnym do Syna - Jezusa Chrystusa?

As a Christian our goal is to become like Jesus. That is it!

Przecież celem wszystkich Chrześcijan jest stać się jak Jezus. To jest świętość.

To be a saint is to say yes to God so fully that we say yes to God the Father,

Powiedzieć Bogu "Tak" z taką pewnością,

just like Jesus the Son says yes to the Father.

I bring this up not only because I heard of working out versus training or training versus working out,

because I know that not just with my effort, but with the power of the Holy Spirit, with the grace of God,

that he takes the little effort that I have, right, the showing up, the desiring this
