ಲಿಬ್ರೆ ಆಫಿಸ್ ಕ್ಯಾಲ್ಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಸೂತ್ರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳ ಫಂಕ್ಷನ್ ಗಳ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಸ್ಪೋಕನ್ ಟ್ಯುಟೋರಿಯಲ್ ಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಗತ.

In this tutorial we will learn about: Conditional Operator If..Or statement Basic statistic functions Rounding off numbers

ಈ ಟ್ಯುಟೋರಿಯಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು: ನಿಬಂಧನಾತ್ಮಕ (Conditional) ಆಪರೇಟರ್ ಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ, If ಮತ್ತು Or ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳ ಉಪಯೋಗ, ಮೂಲಭೂತವಾದ ಸಂಖ್ಯಾಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ (statistic) ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ(ಫಂಕ್ಷನ್) ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಹೊಂದಿಸಲು (Rounding off) ಕಲಿಯಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

Here we are using Ubuntu Linux version 10.04 as our operating system and LibreOffice Suite version 3.3.4.

ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಉಬಂಟು ಲಿನಕ್ಸ್ ನ 10.04 ಆವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಲಿಬ್ರೆ ಆಫಿಸ್ ಸೂಟ್ ನ 3.3.4 ಆವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

We have already learnt to apply the basic arithmetic operators like addition,subtraction and average on data.

ನಾವು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಅಂಕಗಣಿತದ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಾದ ದತ್ತಾಂಶಗಳ ಕೂಡುವಿಕೆ, ಕಳೆಯುವಿಕೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಸರಾಸರಿಗಳ ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಲಿತಿದ್ದೇವೆ..

Now, let’s learn about a few other useful operators.

ಈಗ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಕೆಲ ಉಪಯುಕ್ತ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯೋಣ.

One of the most commonly used operator is the Conditional Operator.

ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುವ ಆಪರೇಟರ್ ಎಂದರೆ ನಿಬಂಧನಾತ್ಮಕ (Conditional) ಆಪರೇಟರ್.

Conditional Operators, check for the condition applied on the data by the user

ನಿಬಂಧನಾತ್ಮಕ (Conditional) ಆಪರೇಟರ್ ಗಳು , ದತ್ತಾಂಶಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಳಕೆದಾರನ ನಿಬಂಧೆನಗಳನ್ನು(ಕಂಡೀಶನ್) ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

and then show results in boolean - TRUE or FALSE.

ಮತ್ತು TRUE ಅಥವಾ FALSE ಎಂದು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಪಡಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

Let’s open “Personal-Finance-Tracker.ods”.

“Personal-Finance-Tracker.ods” ಅನ್ನು ಓಪನ್ ಮಾಡೋಣ.

Here, under the heading “Cost”, we have listed the prices of several items.

ಇಲ್ಲಿ, “Cost” ಎಂಬ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ , ಕೆಲವು ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಬೆಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

Let’s apply conditional operators on them and analyse the results.

ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನಿಬಂಧನಾತ್ಮಕ (conditional) ಆಪರೇಟರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಅನ್ವಯಸಿ, ಬಂದ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ವಿಮರ್ಶಿಸೋಣ.

Let’s click on the cell referenced as “B10” and type “Condition Result” inside it.

“B10” ಕೋಶವನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರೊಳಗೆ “Condition Result” ಎಂದು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Now, click on the cell referenced as “C10”.

ಈಗ, “C10” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ.

The condition’s result will be applied and displayed in this cell.

ಈ ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮೇಲಿನ ಬೆಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿಬಂಧನಾತ್ಮಕ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು ಅನ್ವಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿತವಾಗಲಿದೆ.

Note, that the cost of “House Rent” is rupees 6,000.

“House Rent” ನ ಬೆಲೆ 6,000 ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳು,

The cost for the “Electricity Bill” is rupees 800.

ಹಾಗು “Electricity Bill” ನ ಬೆಲೆಯು 800 ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳೆಂದು ಗಮನಿಸಿ.

The cost of “House Rent” is more than that of “Electricity Bill”.

“House Rent” ನ ಬೆಲೆಯು “Electricity Bill” ನ ಬೆಲೆಗಿಂತ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿದೆ.

We can apply different conditions on them and check the results.

ನಾವು ಅವುಗಳ ಮೆಲೆ ವಿವಿಧ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಿ, ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು.

Click on the cell referenced as “C10”.

“C10” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ.

In this cell, type the first condition as “is equal to C3 greater than C4 ” and press the “Enter” key.

ಈ ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ, “ ಸಮ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ C3 ಗ್ರೇಟರ್ ದೆನ್ C4 ” ಎನ್ನುವ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು “Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ.

Since the value in cell C3 is greater than the value in cell C4, the result we get is “TRUE”.

C3 ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೆಲೆಯು C4 ಸೆಲ್ ನ ಬೆಲೆಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, “TRUE” ಎನ್ನುವ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿತವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Now let us change this conditional statement to “is equal to C3 less than C4”

ಈಗ, “ಸಮ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ C3 ಲೆಸ್ ದೆನ್ C4” ಎಂದು ನಿಬಂಧನಾತ್ಮಕ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬದಲಿಸೋಣ.

Press “Enter”.

“Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

The result we get is “FALSE”.

“FALSE” ಎಂದು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

In the same manner, you can apply other conditional statements and study the results.

ಇದೇ ಮಾದರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು, ವಿವಿಧ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಿ, ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದು.

These statements are very useful when dealing with large amounts of data.

ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮೊತ್ತದ ದತ್ತಾಂಶಗಳ ವ್ಯವಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಕೂಲಕರವಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

You can also use the “If and Or” condition on data

ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು “If ಮತ್ತು Or” ನಿಬಂಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ದತ್ತಾಂಶಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ

* to print the results according to the condition that holds TRUE.

* ನಿಬಂಧನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ TRUE ಎನ್ನುವ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಮುದ್ರಿಸಲು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಬಹುದು.

Let’s click on the cell referenced as “C10” and type,

“C10” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಲಿ,

“ is equal to IF” and within braces, “C3 greater than C4” comma, within double quotes “Positive” comma and again within double quotes “Negative”.

“ ಸಮ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ IF” ಮತ್ತು ಬಂಧಕದ (ಬ್ರೇಸಸ್) ಒಳಗೆ “C3 ಗ್ರೇಟರ್ ದೆನ್ C4”, ಅರ್ಧವಿರಾಮ , ಪುನಃ ಡಬಲ್ ಕೋಟ್ ನ ಒಳಗೆ “Positive” ಎಂದು, ಅರ್ಧವಿರಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನಃ ಡಬಲ್ ಕೋಟ್ ನ ಒಳಗೆ “Negative”ಎಂದು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

This means if the value in cell C3 is greater than the value in cell C4, “Positive” will be displayed

C3 ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೆಲೆಯು C4 ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೆಲೆಗಿಂತ ಜಾಸ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆರೆ, “Positive”ಎಂದೂ

or else “Negative” will be displayed..

ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ “Negative” ಎಂದೂ, ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿತವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Now press “Enter”.

“Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

Notice, that the result is “Positive” since rupees 6000 is greater than rupees 800.

6000 ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳು 800 ರೂಪಾರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಜಾಸ್ತಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ , ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು“Positive” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿತವಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ.

Now, in the condition statement let’s change “greater than” to “less than” and press the “Enter” key.

ಈಗ, ನಿಬಂಧನಾತ್ಮಕ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು“ಗ್ರೇಟರ್ ದೆನ್” ನಿಂದ “ಲೆಸ್ ದೆನ್” ಎಂದು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ,“Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

Note, that the result is now “Negative”, as the value in cell C3 is greater than the value in cell C4.

C3 ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೆಲೆಯು C4 ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೆಲೆಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು “Negative” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿತವಾಗುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ .

You can also see the change in result, if we change the data in the cells C3 and C4.

C3 ಮತ್ತು C4 ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ದತ್ತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸದರೆ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದಲ್ಲೂ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಬಹುದು.

The result which is displayed now is “Negative”.

“Negative” ಎಂದು ಈಗ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿದೆ.

Now, let us increase the value in cell C4 to “7000” and press the “Enter” key.

ಈಗ, C4 ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನು “7000” ರುಪಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸೋಣ ಮತ್ತು “Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತೋಣ.

The result automatically changes to “Positive”.

ಈಗ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು ಸ್ವತಃ “Positive” ಎಂದು ಪರಿವರ್ತಿತವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Again, let’s decrease the value in cell C4 to “800”.

ಪುನಃ, C4 ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನು “800” ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಸೋಣ

And press the “Enter” key.

ಮತ್ತು “Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತೋಣ.

The result again automatically changes to “Negative”.

ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು ಸ್ವತಃ ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆಯೇ “Negative” ಎಂದು ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Now, let us delete the changes made.

ಈದೀಗ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಡಿಲೀಟ್ ಮಾಡೋಣ.

Next, let’s learn a few arithmetic and statistic functions.

ಮುಂದೆ, ಕೆಲ ಅಂಕಗಣಿತದ (arithmetic) ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಖ್ಯಾಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ (statistic) ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯೋಣ.

Basic arithmetic functions include SUM for addition, PRODUCT for multiplication, QUOTIENT for division and many more which we have already learnt in the earlier tutorials.

ಮೂಲಭೂತವಾದ ಅಂಕಗಣಿತದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳೆಂದರೆ- ಕೂಡಿಸಲು SUM, ಗುಣಾಕರಕ್ಕೆ PRODUCT, ಭಾಗಾಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ QUOTIENT (ಕೋಶಂಟ್) ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಟ್ಯುಟೋರಿಯಲ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿತ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಅಂಶಗಳು .

Now let’s perform some operations to check how the Sum, Product and the Quotient functions work.

ಈಗ Sum, Product ಮತ್ತು Quotient ನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಲು ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡೋಣ.

First let’s select “Sheet 3”.

“Sheet 3” ಅನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ.

Enter the numbers “50”,”100” and ”150” within the cells referenced “B1”, “B2” and “B3” respectively.

“50”,”100” ಮತ್ತು ”150” ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ “B1”, “B2” ಮತ್ತು “B3” ಸೆಲ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮೂದಿಸಿ.

Click on the cell “A4” and type “SUM”.

“A4” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತು “SUM” ಎಂದು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Click on the cell “B4”.

“B4” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

We shall compute the result in this cell.

ಈ ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಾವು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಬೇಕು (compute).

Type “is equal to “SUM”, and within the braces, B1 comma B2 comma B3.

ಅಲ್ಲಿ “ಸಮ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ “SUM” ಎಂದೂ ಮತ್ತು ಬಂಧಕದ (ಬ್ರೇಸ್) ಒಳಗೆ B1 ಅರ್ಧವಿರಾಮ B2 ಅರ್ಧವಿರಾಮ B3 ಎಂದೂ ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Press Enter.

Enter ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

Notice the result shows “300”.

“300” ಎಂದು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ.

You can also enter a range of cells like this

ನೀವು ಸೆಲ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೆಲೆಗಳ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು(range) ಕೂಡ ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಬಹುದು.

Click on “B4” again.

“B4” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ.

Now, within the braces, instead of B1 comma B2 comma B3, type B1 colon B3

ಈಗ, ಬಂಧಕದ (ಬ್ರೇಸಸ್) ಒಳಗಡೆ, B1 ಅರ್ಧವಿರಾಮ B2 ಅರ್ಧವಿರಾಮ B3 ಎನ್ನುವುದರ ಬದಲಾಗಿ, B1 ವಿವರಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಚಿನ್ಹೆB3 ,ಎಂದು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Press Enter.

Enter ಅನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

Once again, the result shows “300”

ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ,“300” ಎಂದು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Now let’s click on the cell “A5” and type “PRODUCT”.

“A5” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತು “PRODUCT” ಎಂದು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Click on the cell “B5”.

“B5” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Here type “is equal to “PRODUCT”, and within the braces, B1 colon B3.

ಇಲ್ಲಿ “ಸಮ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ” “PRODUCT” ಎಂದೂ ಮತ್ತು ಬಂಧಕದ ಒಳಗೆ B1 “ವಿವರಾಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ” B3 ಎಂದು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Press Enter.

Enter ಅನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

Notice the result shows “7,50,000”.

“7,50,000” ಎಂದು ಫಲಿತಾಶವು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ.

Now let’s see how Quotient works.

Quotient ನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡೋಣ.

Click on the cell referenced “A6” and type “QUOTIENT”.

“A6” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು “QUOTIENT” ಎಂದು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Now click on the cell “B6”.

ಈಗ “B6” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

We shall use this cell to compute the result.

ನಾವು ಈ ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಬಳಸಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

And type “is equal to QUOTIENT”, and within the braces, B2 comma B1.

ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಲಿ “ಸಮ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ QUOTIENT” ಮತ್ತು ಬಂಧಕದ ಒಳಗೆ B2 ಅರ್ಧವಿರಾಮ B1 ಎಂದು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Press Enter.

Enter ಅನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

You will get the result as “2”. That is because “100” divided by “50” gives 2.

ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ “100”, ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ “50” ರಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ “2” ಎಂದು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Similarly, we can perform various arithmetic operations in Calc.

ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಕ್ಯಾಲ್ಕ್ ಅನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಅಂಕಗಣಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.

Now, let’s learn how to implement Statistic Functions.

ಈಗ, ಸಂಖ್ಯಾಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ (Statistic) ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯೋಣ.

Statistical functions are useful for analysis of data in spreadsheets. For example, functions like COUNT, MIN, MAX, MEDIAN, MODE and many more are statistical in nature.

Let’s see how to find the minimum, the maximum and the median costs, using statistical functions.

Let’s click on the cell referenced as “C10” where we will be displaying the result.

Under the heading “Cost”, we have very few entries.

“Cost” ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ನಾವು ಕೆಲವೊಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

The minimum cost is rupees 300.

In the cell “C10” let’s type “is equal to MAX” and within braces “C3” colon “C7”.

“C10” ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ “ ಸಮ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ MAX” ಮತ್ತು ಬಂಧಕದ ಒಳಗೆ “C3” ವಿವರಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ “C7” ಎಂದು ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Now press the “Enter” key.

“Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

Notice, that the result is “6000”, which is the maximum value in the column.

ಕಾಲಮ್ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಬೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವ “6000” ವು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ.

Now, let’s replace the term “MAX” in the statement with “MIN”.

ಈಗ, “MAX” ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ “MIN” ಎನ್ನುವ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸೋಣ.

And press the “Enter” key.

ಮತ್ತು “Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತೋಣ.

Note, that the result is “300” which is the minimum amount in the Cost column.

ಕಾಲಮ್ ನ ಕನಿಷ್ಠತಮ ಬೆಲೆಯಾದ “300”, ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ.

To find the median value, replace the term “MIN” with “MEDIAN”.

ಮಧ್ಯದ ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನು(median value) ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, “MIN” ಎಂಬ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ “MEDIAN”ಎಂದು ನಮೂದಿಸಿ,

And press the “Enter” key.

ಮತ್ತು “Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

The result shows “800”, which is the median cost in the column.

ಕಾಲಮ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದ ಬೆಲೆಯಾದ “800”, ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Similarly, you can use other statistical functions on data and analyze them accordingly.

ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಸಂಖ್ಯಾಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ದತ್ತಾಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕನಾಗಿ ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಬಹುದು.

Let us delete the changes in this cell.

ಈ ಸೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಡಿಲೀಟ್ ಮಾಡೋಣ.

Now, let’s learn how to round off numbers.

ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಹೊಂದಿಸಲು(round off) ಕಲಿಯೋಣ.

Let us make few changes under the heading, “Cost”.

“Cost” ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡೋಣ.

We shall change: “6000” to “6000.34” “600” to “600.4” ”300” to “300.3”.

ನಾವು “6000” ಅನ್ನು “6000.34” ಎಂದು “600” ಅನ್ನು “600.4” ಎಂದು ಮತ್ತು ”300” ಅನ್ನು “300.3” ಎಂದು ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸೋಣ .

Now, click on the cell referenced as “B11” and type the heading “ROUNDING OFF”.

ಈಗ, “B11” ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ “ROUNDING OFF” ಎಂದು ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಮೂದಿಸಿ.

Click on the cell referenced as “C11” where we will find the total of the items under the heading “Cost”.

Now, press the Enter key.

ಈಗ, Enter ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ.

Notice, that the total is “9701.04”.

ಗಮನಿಸಿ, “9701.04” ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಒಟ್ಟು ಮೊತ್ತ.

Now suppose we don’t want any decimal places in our result.

ನಮ್ಮ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ದಂಶಾಶ ಸ್ಥಾನವು ಬೇಡವೆಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ.

The best solution is to round off the result to the nearest whole number.

ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಳ ಉಪಾಯವೆಂದರೆ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಪೂರ್ಣಾಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಹೊಂದಿಸುವುದು.

Let us click on the cell with the total “9701.04”.

“9701.04” ಎಂಬ ಒಟ್ಟು ಮೊತ್ತವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡೋಣ.

Type “is equal to ROUND”,open brace “SUM” and again within braces “C3” colon “C7”.

ಅಲ್ಲಿ “ಸಮ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ ROUND” ಎಂದೂ, ಬಂಧಕವನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು “SUM” ಎಂದೂ, ಪುನಃ ಬಂಧಕದೊಳಗೆ “C3” ವಿವರಾಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ “C7” ಎಂದೂ ಟೈಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Close the brace. Press the Enter key.

ಬಂಧಕವನ್ನು ಮೊಚ್ಚೋಣ ಮತ್ತು Enter ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅನ್ನು ಒತ್ತೋಣ.

You see, that the result is now “9701”, which is “9701.04” rounded of to the nearest whole number.

Rounding off, can also be done to either the lower whole number or the higher number.

ದಂಶಾಂಶವಿರುವ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಥವಾ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಪೂರ್ಣಾಂಕಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಿಹೊಂದಿಸಬಹುದು.

Let’s click on the cell with the result and edit the term “ROUND” to “ROUNDUP”.

ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವಿರುವ ಸೆಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವ “ROUND” ಎಂಬ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು “ROUNDUP” ಎಂದು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ.

Now, press the “Enter” key.

ಈಗ, “Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

You see that the result is now “9702” which is the higher whole number.

“9702” ಎಂದು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ. ಇದು ಮೇಲಿನ ಪೂರ್ಣಾಂಕವಾಗಿದೆ.

In order to round off to the lower whole number, change the term “ROUNDUP” to “ROUNDDOWN”

ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಪೂರ್ಣಾಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಹೊಂದಿಸಲು, “ROUNDUP” ನಿಂದ “ROUNDDOWN” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳೀಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ.

And press the “Enter” key.

ಮತ್ತು “Enter” ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿರಿ.

The result is now “9701” which is the lower whole number.

Let us undo these changes in order to get our “Personal-Finance-Tracker.ods” to its original form.

“Personal-Finance-Tracker.ods” ನ ಮೂಲ ಸ್ವರೂಪವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲ್ಲು ಪುನಃ ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆಯೇ (undo) ಮಾಡೋಣ.
