Welcome to the spoken tutorial on iterative calculations using Scilab.
साइलैब की मदद से आइटरेटीव आंकलन के इस टूटोरीयल में आप सबका स्वागत है ।
I am using scilab version 5.2 in Mac operating system ,
हमने यहाँ Mac(मैक)ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम में साइलैब 5.2 वरज़न (संस्करण) का इस्तेमाल किया है
but these calculations should work in other versions and also in Scilab that runs in linux and windows.
लेकिन यह आंकलन दूसरे वरज़न में भी चलने चाहिए और साइलैब में भी जो की लिनक्स और विन्डोज़ में चलता है ।
I will use the code available in the file iteration.sce
हम iteration.sce फाइल में से उपलब्ध कोड का इस्तेमाल करेंगे ।
I have opened this file using Scilab editor, which I plan to use only as an editor.
हमने इस फाइल को साइलैब एडिटर की मदद से खोला है जिसे सिर्फ एक एडिटर की तरह इस्तेमाल करेंगे ।
Let us create a vector using the colon operator i is equal to 1 colon 5.
चलिए ‘colon’ ऑपरेटर की मदद से वेक्टर बनाते है । i = 1:5
creates a vector from 1 to 5, in increments of 1.
चलिए ‘colon’ ऑपरेटर की मदद से वेक्टर बनाते है । i = 1:5
In this command, i is equal to 1 colon 2 colon 5,
यह एक वेक्टर बनाएगा एक से पाँच, एक एक की बढ़त से । i = 1:2:5,
We see that the middle argument of 2 indicates the increment.
इस कमांड में हम देख सकते है की बीच का तर्क दो (2), बढ़त का संकेत देता है ।
1 is the first argument where the vector starts. I cannot go beyond 5.

It can be equal to 5, however.

Note that if the ending argument changes to 6 the result remains the same.
ध्यान दीजिए की अगर अंतिम तर्क बदलकर छह (6) हो जाता है तब भी परिणाम वही रहता है। i = 1:2:6
It is not difficult to explain this behaviour.
इस व्यवहार की व्याख्या करना मुश्किल नहीं है ।
Can you think for a moment why this happens?
क्या आप सोच सकते है की ऐसा क्यों होता है ?
We will now demonstrate the use of the for statement to perform iterative calculations. for i is equal to 1 colon 2 colon 7 disp i end of for loop.
अब हम आइटरेटीव आंकलन करने के लिए for (फॉर) स्टेटमेंट के उपयोग का प्रदर्शन करते है । for i = 1:2:7 disp(i) end
I will cut this paste in scilab console press enter.
जैसे ही हम लूप से जाते है , यह कोड i प्रिंट करेगा ।
This code prints out i, as we go through the loop.

The display is due to the command disp - the passed argument is displayed.
यह प्रदर्शन कमांड disp के वजह से हुआ है – यहाँ पारित तर्क प्रदर्शित हुई है ।
Recall that the for loop is used for integer values.
याद कीजिये के for लूप का इस्तेमाल इनटीजर वालयूज़ के लिए होता है ।
In this case, four integer values, namely, 1, 3, 5 and 7 are displayed. The number of times the iterations take place is known as priori in for loops.
इस केस में चार इनटीजर वालयूज़ 1,3,5 और 7 प्रदर्शित हुए है । for लूप्स में जितनी बार आइटरेशंस होती है उसे प्रायोरी कहते है।
In the rest of this tutorial, we will stick to the default increment of 1.
हम इस टूटोरीयल के शेष भाग में डिफौल्ट इन्क्रीमेंट ऑफ 1 को लेकर चलेंगे ।
Let us begin with the loop that displays i equal to 1 to 5.
चलिए उस लूप से शुरू करते है जो ‘i’ को एक से पाँच के बराबर प्रदर्शित करता है । for i = 1:5 disp(i) end
We will modify this code by introducing the break statement.
हम इस कोड को रूपांतरित कर सकते है break (ब्रेक) स्टेटमेंट के इस्तेमाल से । for i = 1:5 disp(i) if (i==2), break end end
Note that i is displayed only up to 2.
ध्यान दीजिए की i का प्रदर्शन सिर्फ 2 तक हुआ है ।
The iteration is not carried out till the last value of i, namely 5.
यह आइटरेशन i के अंतिम मान जो की पाँच है तक नहीं चलाया गया है ।
When i is equal to 2, the if block is executed for the first time.
जब i, 2 के बराबर होता है तब if ब्लाक पहली बार एक्सीक्यूट होता है ।
The break command, however, terminates the loop.
मगर break कमांड लूप को टर्मिनेट याने के समाप्त करता है ।
If we want to get out of a loop when some intermediate condition is satisfied, we can use the break statement.
अगर कोई इंटरमिडीएट (दर्मियानी) कंडीशन संतुष्ट होती है और हमें लूप से बाहर आना है तो ब्रेक स्टेटमेंट का इस्तेमाल कर सकते है ।
Note that "i is equal to 2" statement uses the "equal to" sign twice.
ध्यान दीजिए के i=2 स्टेटमेंट दो बार इकवल टू (=) साइन का उपयोग करता है ।
This is the standard way to compare the equality in programming languages.
प्रोग्रामिंग लान्गुवेजस में इक्वालिटी की तुलना करने के लिए यह एक मानक तरीका है ।
The result of this comparison statement is a boolean: true or false.
इस कमपेरीज़न का परिणाम है बूलियन :सही या गलत
We will introduce the continue statement here paste press enter
अब हम continue (कन्टीन्यू) स्टेटमेंट को प्रयुक्त करते है: for i = 1:5 if (i<=3) then continue else disp(i) end end
This results in i getting displayed only for 4 and 5.
यह मौका देगा i को सिर्फ 4 और 5 तक प्रदर्शित होने का ।
For i less than or equal to 3, as given by the i less than or equal to 3 statement, nothing happens.
i अगर तीन से कम है या तीन के बराबर जैसे के i&lt;=3 स्टेटमेंट द्वारा दिया गया , तो कुछ नहीं होगा ।
The continue statement makes the program skip the rest of the loop.
कनटीन्यू कमांड प्रोग्राम की बाकि लूप को स्किप करता है याने के छोड़ देता है ।
Unlike the break statement, however, it does not exit the loop.
यह ब्रेक कमांड की तरह लूप को समाप्त नहीं करता ।
The parameter i is incremented and all the calculations of the loop are executed for the new i.
i परामीटर इन्क्रीमेंट होती है और इस i के लिए ,लूप के सारे आंकलन एक्सीक्यूट होते है ।
We take a small break and show how to get help for operators of the type less than or equal to.
हम एक छोटा अंतराल लेते है और देखते है के किस तरह &lt;= टाइप के ऑपरेटर के लिए मदद ले सकते है ।
Let us type less than or equal to with help
चलिए टाइप करते है: help <=
This opens the scilab help browser.

We see that the help is available under the option less.

The for statement in Scilab is more powerful than in programming languages.
for स्टेटमेंट प्रोग्रामिंग लान्गुवेजस से ज्यादा साइलैब में शक्तिशाली है ।
For example, let us perform a loop over a vector:
उदाहरण के लिए वेक्टर पर एक for लूप का प्रदर्शन करते है । v = [1 5 3]; for x = v disp(x) end
This script displays all values of v.
यह लिपि ‘v’ के सारे मान को प्रदर्शित करती है ।
Until now we have been displaying only the variables.
अब तक हम सिर्फ वेरीयेबल्स का प्रदर्शन का कर रहे थे ।
We can indeed display the result of a calculation as well.
हम वास्तव में आंकलन के परिणाम को भी प्रदर्शित कर सकते है ।
The following code displays the square of the numbers.
निम्नलिखित कोड संख्याओं के वर्ग को प्रदर्शित करता है । v = [1 5 3]; for x = v disp(x^2) end
We have spent quite a bit of time explaining the for loop.
हमने काफी समय for लूप को समझाने में बिताया है ।
Let us now move on to the while loops.
अब चलते है while (वाइल) लूप की तरफ ।
The while statement allows us to perform a loop when a boolean expression is true
अगर बूलियन एक्सप्रेशन सही है तो while स्टेटमेंट लूप को प्रदर्शित करने की आज्ञा देता है ।
At the beginning of the loop, if the expression is true,
लूप की शुरुवात में अगर एक्सप्रेशन सही है
the statements in the body of the while loop are executed.
तो लूप के स्टेटमेंट्स एक्सीक्यूट होते है ।
If the program is written well, the expression becomes false and the loop is ended.
अगर प्रोग्राम सही लिखा है तो एक्सप्रेशन गलत हो जाता है और लूप समाप्त होती है ।
Now let us see an example for the while loop:
चलिये अब while लूप के लिए उदाहरण देखते है i = 0; while(i<=5) i = i+1; disp(i) end
The values of i, from 1 to 6 are displayed.
i के मान एक से लेकर छह तक प्रदर्शित है।
Break and continue statements inside the while loop work exactly as they did in the for loop, as we demonstrate using break:
While लूप में ब्रेक और कनटीन्यू स्टेटमेंट्स उसी तरह काम करते है जिस तरह की for लूप में । चलिए break के इस्तेमाल से इसका प्रदर्शन करते है ।
We can see that the moment i becomes equal to 3, the program exits the loop, thanks to the break statement.
हम देख सकते है के जैसे ही i तीन (3) के बराबर हो जाता है प्रोग्राम लूप से बाहर निकल जाता है , शुक्र है break स्टेटमेंट का ।
You can also try the example for continue statement in while loop.
While लूप में आप कनटीन्यू स्टेटमेंट के लिए उदाहरण की कोशिश कर सकते है ।
