Can I add private notes to videos in my search results?

Yes. Sign in to add notes to videos from search results, channel pages or video pages. Notes are associated with your account and are not displayed publicly or to other users through the normal interface. They are not end-to-end encrypted or inaccessible to site administrators. Avoid storing passwords or highly sensitive personal information in notes.

A note can contain up to 4,096 characters and an optional color. Use **bold** for emphasis. Timestamps such as 00:15 or 01:02:03 become links to those moments. From subtitle search, you can append matching caption snippets or apply a note to all videos on the current page, either to videos without notes or by overwriting existing notes.

My Notes lists your annotated videos and lets you search note text and filter by channel, date, duration, livestream status or listed/unlisted status. You can request deletion of associated account data through the contact form.

How can I hide videos I have already reviewed or show only videos with my notes?

You can mark videos as reviewed by adding private notes, then filter results by whether they have a note. Sign in to use your account’s notes and the associated filters.

On search results pages, click the funnel icon above the results to open Filter videos. In the Notes section, choose Without note to see videos you have not annotated, With note to see those with notes, or All to clear the note filter. The separate Videos section offers All, Available and Unavailable options based on thumbnail availability. This filter is available on metadata search, the subtitle search grid, unlisted search and channel pages.

After reviewing a video, you can add a note such as “Reviewed,” optionally with a timestamp or color. Avoid recording sensitive personal details or conclusions about identifiable people. Without note then shows videos you have not marked. Watching a video does not automatically mark it as reviewed.

Use My Notes to find your annotated videos again and search within the note text. A note attached to a video is private to your account in the normal Filmot interface, not a public comment, and not a separate note per search query.
