Can I combine subtitle and title search, and avoid duplicate results or alerts?

Yes. In subtitle search, use the Video Title field under Filters to combine title words with spoken subtitle, caption or transcript words. A matching video must satisfy both conditions. For title search without a subtitle query, use Metadata search, which also supports channel, language, date and other filters.

Subtitle and metadata searches have separate result sets. Each search removes duplicate video results within its own set, but Filmot does not deduplicate across two separate searches. A video that matches both can therefore appear in both result lists or in alerts from two saved searches.

If you need one list without that overlap, use a single subtitle search with a title filter when both conditions are required. Separate saved searches can still notify you about the same video.

How do saved searches and daily email digests work, and how do I stop an alert?

Saved searches retain your query, filters and selected channels and can notify you about newly found matches. Sign in to manage them.

  1. Run a subtitle or metadata search and click the bell button. Give the saved search a name and, optionally, a description.
  2. Enable Send daily email digest for automatic daily runs. Searches without this option run when you click Run.
  3. Open Saved Searches to inspect results and delivery status, run searches manually or use Send Combined Email. Daily Results shows recent runs.

Digests are delivered to your account email or a separately verified address. Your query terms, selected channels and results may be sensitive; choose a recipient address you control and avoid forwarding confidential digests.

The daily-digest allowance is 1 saved search without patron benefits, 5 for Official Patron, 18 for Silver Patron and 60 for VIP Patron.

To stop an alert, use Turn off this email alert in the digest, disable Send daily email digest on the saved-search page or delete the saved search. Disabling a digest retains the search for manual use. Deleting a saved search also removes its stored results from the saved-search feature; previously delivered emails or separately downloaded copies remain outside that deletion.

Why haven't I received a saved-search email digest, and when do alerts run?

Saved-search digests normally run daily, but delivery is not guaranteed at a fixed time. Newly matching records may also be delayed until they appear in Filmot's index.

If an expected message has not arrived:

  1. Open Saved Searches in the account that owns the search. Confirm that Send daily email digest is enabled and your active searches are within the account allowance.
  2. Check the recipient address. A custom address must be verified before it can receive digests; also check your spam folder.
  3. Review the last-run and email status. Daily Results can help distinguish a search that has not run from an email-delivery problem.
  4. Use Run or Run All Active to test the search, and Send Combined Email to test delivery. If problems continue, contact support with the visible error or status, but do not send verification links or unnecessary personal information.

Alerts cover newly discovered matches, which may include videos uploaded earlier. A day without an email may simply mean no new results matched.
