en dan komt de agenda op tafel.

OK... op donderdag 27 juli tussen 5 en 6...

I have a gap...

Eh... Ik heb geen flauw idee wat ik dan ga doen! [ZIJN NEDERLANDERS SPONTAAN?]

They plan a bit too much, according to me.

Ze plannen een beetje te veel, naar mijn mening.

I had this friend...

They have the little diary every single one of them

they carry around. They cram as much into the day as they can.

It's really hard to make an appointment

within the same day

or maybe within an hour.

If you are sick and you really need help

Nee, zo gaat het in Nederland niet.

In the US they would never say:

Well, it's time for our dinner now.

Het is etenstijd!

They would just politely get you to leave

Ze zullen je beleefd vragen om weg te gaan

or they would invite you to stay

of ze nodigen je uit om aan te schuiven...

But they say: you know,

Maar hier zegt men: luister eens

we're gonna eat now.

we gaan nu eten.

So: get lost! - That means bye!

It's the custom.

So, if you want to integrate, you just accept it!

I thought everyone is out and having a good time.

And I like Dutch

Ik hou van Nederlanders

because they have a perfect combination,

want ze hebben een perfecte combinatie...

perfect balance between their work and leisure time.

een perfecte balans tussen werk en vrije tijd.

An ability to live right here and right now.

Het vermogen om hier en nu te leven.
