今日はこの前の時間に続くバックハンドトップスピン。

We called it "Back Drive" in korea

韓国ではバックドライブと言いますよね。

I’ll say back drive in this video easily

簡単にバックドライブという名称を使って説明します。

Let's break down backhand topspin

今日も一つずつ説明したいと思います。

One Drive, One Topspin

ショート1回、ドライブ1回。

Let's take a look at the position of backhand topspin step by step

最初は脚の下から上まで説明します。

The first, the width of the legs

足の広さは

It doesn't matter if you don't distance your legs wider than basic backhand

基本ショット姿勢よりもっと広げなくても構いません。

You need more power on legs on forehand

フォアハンドドライブする時は足をもっと開いて力を支えてくれるんですが

but when we play backhand, we usually position not far from table

バックドライブする時はテーブルからあまり後ろに下がらないので

So we don't need to distance legs wider apart

あえて足を大きく広げる必要もなく

Legs are wider than shoulder width apart as basic backhand position

ショートした時のように肩幅よりも広く開く感じ

It would be stable

これくらい足の広さを掴めばいいと思います。

Okay, the next step

Your knees should be bent

膝は曲げてあげるんだけど

It's the same high as backhand drive

これも基本ショットを基に

You don't have to bend your knees more

ショートをする時よりもっと低くする必要はありません。

The tension of your thighs means you already bent your knees

すでに太ももに力が入る程度まで膝を曲げているので, これ以上下げる必要はない

It's a nice posture to play backhand topspin

この状態で同じようにバックドライブをかければいいと思います。

It looks like this

横から見ると、このくらい？

For me, I need only this much

僕の背を基準にしたこのくらい曲げてるみたいです。

Avoid bending your legs too much

釜がこんなに曲げなくてもいいし

or up your legs

だからと言って立ちすぎてはいけません。

Just strain your both thighs and bend your knees

太ももの両側に力を入れ、膝を少し曲げた姿勢

Avoid your upper body to go forward further than your knees

ひざは軽く曲げ, 上半身はひざより前に進まない

The next thing is about the center of gravity

その次に中心。

Once you bend your knees,

中心は膝を曲げると、

Your thighs will be tensed up

膝に力が入るでしょう。太ももに力が入って

As backhand drive,

でもここでショートのように

Balance your center of gravity, not forward and backward too much

中心が後ろに行ってもダメで、前に偏ってもダメです。

You need to tilt your upper body slightly forward

かかとを無理やり上げる必要もなく、少し傾ける程度だけ

To balance your body as you stroke,

そしてバックドライブの中心は

Give your force on both legs half and half

足の中心比率は5対5で維持すると考えてください。

A lot of amateur players I see tend to break center of gravity to one side

アマチュアの方々は、一方に中心が傾くとか

during the backhand stroke

こういう場合があるんですが

I know you can put your weight to one foot to cover outside balls

瞬間的に一方に傾くことはありますが、

But basic positions should be put your weight both feet half and half

基本姿勢は力が5対5で入った状態で姿勢を整えてくださればいいと思います。

Put your weight into the foot half and half

重心を右足、左足を5対5で片寄らないようにする。

and distance from the table is the same as backhand drive

距離はショートの時と同じようにとらえてくださればいいです。

To do forehand topspin, play far from the table compared to backhand

フォーハンドドライブをした時は距離を置いたじゃないですか。

It's because forehand swing is bigger than backhand

それはスイングがもっと大きくなると大根に距離を置く感じがするんですが

It's not difference between backhand drive and topspin

バックハンドする時は距離を置かずにショートする時のように

It's okay to stand away from table, but not much

少し離れても構いませんが、あまり離れてはいけません。

The backhand swing is not much big so we don't need much space

バックドライブはスイングがあまり大きくないので、ショートの時の距離だけ

It's almost 1 meter only

この前説明したように1メートルくらい

It's same as backhand drive

ショートする時、距離と同じように1m程度だけ

体についての説明をしました。

From now on, I’ll tell you about swinging

スイングについての説明を、ゆっくり一つずつやってみたいと思います。

Based on backhand drive,

ショートから

To create topspin,

やっぱりバックドライブは回転させないといけないので

We have more backswing

後ろに引くスイングがもっと出るしかないじゃないですか。

It's crucial to produce topspin

これを絶対にしないといけないのに。

Based on the basic backhand,

ショートを目安に取った状態で、

Just take back your racket head to your underbelly

ラケットの下の部分を下腹側に引っ張る感じ

as if pulling your racket like this

こうやって引っ張るという感じ。

Start from here like backhand drive and bring your racket head towards your underbelly

ショート基本ここから下腹側に引っ張る感じ

Adjust your angle 45 degrees and pull it

ラケットの先端を45度方向、下腹側に引っ張る。

Pivot your wrist down as well

ここで手首を少し引っ張ります。

As if folding your wrist towards your body, rotate your arm

手首を折ってくれる感じで僕の体の方に回す。

Maintaining your angle of racket like this

そしてラケットの角度は、ショートのように前に少し下げられているじゃないですか。

It seems like 45 degrees

45度だと思ってください。

maintaining this angle and go down diagonally

その状態から対角線に下がる感じ。

Don't change your angle

ここであえてもっと引っ張ってくる感じじゃなくて

It's effective to maintain the nice angle of racket as you do backswing

この角を維持した状態でバックスイングを外せば、理想的なバックスイングになりそうです。

Backhand drive : your racket head face side way and not much movement or wrist

ショート:手首は下げずに固定させた状態

Backhand topspin : take your racket head toward your body and rotate as you hit the ball

バックドライブ:ラケットを引き、円を描いてくれる。

The next is about fore swing

さぁ、その次に出るスイング。

You learned about backswing, I’ll tell you fore swing

後ろに引いたので、前に進むスイングを説明します。

The orbit of swing Is...

スイング軌道は

We took the racket back diagonally

対角線で降ろしたじゃないですか。

and just go forward diagonally as well

そうしたらこの対角線でそのまま出て行くと思ってください。

Does it look going upward?

そしたら、徐々に上がっていく感じがしますよね？

It's not going straight

一直線ではなく対角線に上がる

But you don't need to swing upward too much

あまりたくさん上げる必要はありません。

Because It's against topspin ball, not backspin

どうせこれは基本のボールに対するバックドライブなので

It's just going up slightly

対角線で軌道を掴んだらいいと思います。それでは徐々に上がっていきましょう。

I just pulled the racket to 45 degrees

僕が角度を45度くらいに下げたじゃないですか。

As you brush the ball to 45 degrees first and then Getting close your angle

でもバックドライブでスイングが出る時は 45度でボールが当たりながら角がかぶさる感じにすると

It makes you drop the ball into the table stably

ボールが安定感を持って回転がかかって落ちるんです。

You need this feeling

この感じがちょっとあってくれなければなりません。

As you see it in front,

正面から見て

Take back your racket to 45 degrees and brush up the ball getting close racket angle

ラケットを45度に下げて徐々に上がりながらラケットの角を覆う

I took the racket down to 45 degrees

45度に下げました。

Adjust the angle as you brush the ball

そしてボールが当たりながら覆う感じ。

It feels like wrapping the ball

ボールを包み込むような感じ

When you swing forward,

そしてスウィングが前に出ないといけないんですが

You need to focus on your elbow

ショートの時みたいに注意しなければならないのが肘です。

Elbow should be the axis of swing

肘が中心でなければなりません。

Rotate your arm on the elbow

肘を中心にラケットの先が回る感じ

Rotate your arm on your elbow avoiding pushing forward

一直線に伸ばす感じではなく、肘を掴んだ状態に戻る感じ。

and close your angle as you brush the ball

ラケットの角度は覆って出て行ってくれる。

I’ll tell you common mistake for amateur players when play backhand topspin

次に、バックドライブをかける際のチップと注意すべき点アマチュアの方々がたくさんするミスを一つずつ説明します。

Okay, which part of the arm should be tensed when hitting the ball?

まず、バックドライブする時どこに力を入れるのか。

The force from grip your racket

ここにラケットを握る力があります。

ここに力を握らないといけません。

If you have 100 percent of grip force

僕の持っている力が100だとしたら

Just use only 30 percent as you do backswing

後ろに引く時は30くらい。

and then use the rest of it as you swinging forward

前に進む時は70くらい。

Don't use all the power all the way through

100を全部使わないで

Just use 30 percent of power first and then use 70 percent

引く時に30、出る時に70の手に力を入れる。

As you contact the ball on rubber, tighten your grip

ボールが当たる時に力がもっと握れますよね？

Then transfer power into the ball

この状態でボールに力を入れます。

It's easy to remember to transfer your power to the top of the racket

力をラケットの先に入れると思ってください。

You have to maintain your force until you finish the swing

スイングが終わるまでラケットの先に力が入らないといけない

Here is axis of swing and here is the end of swing

ここが軸、ここが終わりです。

Rotate your arm and racket on elbow

肘を軸にラケットの先が回る感じ

連続してかける時に見ると

It's not like coming back on the same way

行ってそのまま帰ってくる感じよりは

After hitting the ball, turning it back slightly like a circle

引っ掛けてそっと回すという感じ。

Rotate the racket back toward your body with relaxed arm

自然に回しながらラケットを引く感じ。この時、力が抜けないといけない。

Don't move your whole arm like this

だからといって、こういう感じじゃなくて

*After you hit the ball, rotate the racket back and drop your arm slightly. It makes you keep consistency in the rally

スイングをして少し下に落ちる感じでラケットを引くともっと自然なバックドライブラリーができる

I’ll tell you the important thing when you play

そして注意するべき点と

And the common mistake I see

アマチュアの方々が多くするミスを説明してみます。

As you know, we need a lot of movement of wrist compared to forehand

やっぱりバックドライブはショートより手首使用量が多いじゃないですか。

Some players move their wrist too much

手首を使いすぎる方々が多いんです。

to generate more topspin

回転をたくさんさせるために

They tend to pivot their wrist over here

手首がここまで曲がる感じがあるんです。

It's hard to keep consistency

すると正確に入らないし

and create nice impact

むしろ強いインパクトを使用することができません。

So don't move too much

だから過度に最後まで使おうとしないで

pivot your wrist and your racket head ends up facing forward

ラケットの先端が前を向いている程度

It's fine to go over a little bit more

もう少し帰るのは大丈夫だと思います。この程度

a lot of players I see tilt their angle close like this

そして後ろに引く時、アマチュアの方々がこうやって下がる場合が多いんです。

If your angle is much closed, your racket will be flipped as you stroke

薄くラケットを抜くと前に出てひっくり返る場合が多い

You have to keep your racket angle 45 degrees

厚めに対角線で下げましたよね？

Brush the ball getting angle closed

その次にさっき説明したように包みながらかぶせないといけないんですが

It's the common error

逆にこうなる場合が多いです。

And another one when play backhand topspin is

そしてもう一つ

They're looking at the ball for long time even if ball already drop into the table

バックドライブをかけて、止まっている方々が多いです。

As I told you, we need to prepare for next ball after all the stroke

さっき話したようにかけて戻る感じで連続ドライブをしないといけないんですが

If you stop swinging at the end of the swing, you will miss impact timing and it's hard to play rally

ラケットが止まっていると動作が止まり、次の動作も差し上げて連続的なバックドライブをかけることができない

Also, some players have big swing on backhand

そしてスウィングがとても大きいです。

we play backhand in close-distance than forehand stroke

今テーブルに落ちずにくっついてる感じじゃないですか。

They make big swing on backhand to make more power

ところでここで欲張りすぎてとても大きなスイングでボールを打とうと思います。

If you stand mid-distance, it would be fine Otherwise, you don't need big swing

中鎮からかける時はスウィングが大きくてもいいが, 卓球台から離れていない場合は絶対に大きくしない

The last common mistake is to wobble their swing

そしてもう一つ

You only focus on grip, racket head and forearm

さっき話したように、握力、ラケットの先、腕までここが主軸にならないといけないんです。

They tense whole their arm

ここ全体に力がたくさん入ります。

Avoid dragging your elbow and shoulder up

ひじが上がったり肩が上がったりすることはできない。

It ends up being late to hit the ball

じゃ、ラケットの先が力にならなくてインパクトが遅い。

Relax shoulder and elbow and then fix them

ひじと肩は軽く下ろして固定させる

You have to transfer power into your racket head

ラケットの先に力が入らないといけない。

As you contact the ball, accelerate your swing

ここでボールが当たる時はスイング速度が一番速くなければなりません。

It's not the same speed from start to end of swing

でも最初から最後まで速度が同じではいけません。

As you brush the ball, accelerate your swinging

ボールが当たった瞬間スイングを速く！

How was backhand topspin tutorial?

ここまで基本バックドライブについてご説明しました。

正直ゲームをする譜面

There are various situation we have such as backspin ball, mid-distance, fast ball and with foot work in the game

カットボールもあるし、中鎮もあるし早く行ったり来たりする状況でのバックドライブもあるし動きながらバックドライブもあると思います。

We just learned basic backhand topspin

今はショートをベースにしたバックドライブ

If you practice it a lot,

ここで、このバックドライブが上手になったら

You can learn the other sore of backhand easily

後にカットボール、中進、動きながらこのバックドライブを応用して

It can be a different swing and the points

スイングが少し変わるかもしれません。ポイントが少し変わるかもしれませんが

However, this basic backhand topspin is based on the other techniques on backhand

でもこの基本をしっかり掴んでおいてこそ、他のバックドライブをした時できる能力が生まれます。
