What is the Filmot Title Restorer, and how do I use it?

Filmot Title Restorer is an optional browser userscript that displays historical titles and thumbnails for supported video IDs inside YouTube playlists. It uses metadata previously collected by Filmot.

Open Title Restorer under More and follow the Script Page link. Installation requires a userscript manager such as Tampermonkey; review the extension's permissions before installing it.

The script works only for records Filmot already knows. It does not recover video or audio, reconstruct playlists or create missing metadata. To request review of sensitive or outdated stored information, use the contact form.

Can Filmot download YouTube videos or video clips directly?

No. Filmot provides video metadata, subtitle text and links to YouTube, but does not download or distribute video or audio files.

Subtitle search can export links to matching moments. Open the export dialog, select the subtitle-timestamps export option and choose Export embed urls to create YouTube links with start and end times around each match. You can adjust the seconds included before and after the matching caption.

You can also export video IDs and other result columns in CSV, Compact CSV, JSONL or ZIP format. Any use or redistribution of the linked content remains subject to applicable rights and terms.

How do I request removal of personal information for privacy or legal reasons?

Submit requests concerning personal information in Filmot's public search results through the contact form. This includes requests for erasure, de-indexing or the "right to be forgotten" under applicable data-protection laws, such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA where those laws apply. The rights and remedies available depend on the relevant law and circumstances.

You may request review of identifying information in video titles, descriptions, subtitles or channel details even if you do not own the YouTube channel. Provide the Filmot URL or search result, a brief explanation of the concern and, if available, the original YouTube URL. Do not include passwords or identity documents in your initial message; additional verification may be requested when appropriate.

Filmot indexes publicly accessible information about YouTube videos but does not host the underlying video or audio files. Removing a record from Filmot does not remove source material from YouTube or copies held by independent services.

Privacy complaints, copyright notices and Filmot account-deletion requests involve different legal issues and may require different verification. Each request is assessed under applicable law, taking account of relevant rights and circumstances; a particular outcome cannot be guaranteed. See the privacy policy for further information.
